Dear Grand-friends and Families:
I am contacting you to let you know that we have been notified of one confirmed case of COVID-19 in our building among our staff members. Our priority is to keep everyone safe and healthy. Please know we are doing everything we can to stop the spread of this virus. We have completed a resident and staff risk assessment, and have not identified any staff or resident that interacted with the positive person within 48 hours of symptom onset.
We shared with you earlier our Risk Mitigation Measures which include strict infection control measures and screening procedures. We now are working in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for additional guidance to prevent the virus from spreading in our home.
We understand that this is a delicate and frightening time for many. We will continue to update you on the situation in our home. Please check your email and the Family Page of our website regularly for posted updates.
We know that these new guidelines call for sacrifices by residents, their families and staff. We are committed to doing all we can to alleviate the stress of this situation. We are working hard to have a variety of in-room activities that engage our residents and are doing all we can to facilitate alternative means of communication between you and your family members. If you have issues or concerns, please let us know. You can also call the Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care at 800-657-3591.
Sincerely,
Jayna Groebner,
Administrator
