Once we retire, our interests move from work and raising a family to leisure and friendships. Gathering around the table has always been a great way to build friendships. And joining together for activities and events strengthens those friendships. At Divine, we think that’s really important.
Our Dietary and Activities departments work together to create opportunities for both. Daily meals are served in our spacious dining room, with its delightful view of Sleepy Eye Lake. Our selection menu offers choices for every meals — choices that are shaped by resident preferences and special requests.
Activities joings the mix by organizing take-out nights — with fried chicken from Essig’s famous “Carl’s Corners” or pizza from our local vendors — and Dine-in specials — like home-made Belgian Waffles or Randy’s Chile.
If families want to join our Grand-friends for a meal, our Lake Villa Cafe provides the perfect option. Attached to the nursing home, families can purchase the same great meals our residents enjoy. When a pizza party or family potluck is the preference, the Sleepy Eye room or the Snack Shop can be reserved for smaller gatherings.
And families are always welcome to join our Grand-friends for our weekly Live Entertainment, theme parties and other events. Families are important. Come and be a part of ours.
